With a blog, you can share updates, tell stories, and provide useful information that keeps your audience coming back. Plus, blogging helps improve your SEO, build customer trust, and drive more traffic to your store.
Here’s how to get started with your FastCommerce blog.
Set Up Your Blog
Setting up a blog in FastCommerce is simple:
- From your admin, go to Marketing > Blog.
- Click Settings.
- Enter your blog title and select your preferred comment settings.
- Optionally, customize SEO details, choose a theme, or add a featured image.
- Click Save.
Your blog is now ready to publish posts and engage your audience.
Create a New Blog Post
Once your blog is set up, you can start sharing content:
- Go to Marketing > Blog in your admin.
- Click + New Post.
- Add a title and create your content using text, images, links, products, or videos.
- Set the visibility to Visible or Hidden.
- Choose an author for the post.
- Optionally, add an excerpt, SEO details, featured image, tags, or a custom template.
- Click Save to publish your post.
With each post, you’re providing value to your customers while boosting your store’s online presence.
Manage Comments
Engagement doesn’t stop at publishing. You can control how visitors interact with your posts:
- Go to Marketing > Blog and click Settings.
- In the Comments section, choose one of three options:
- Disabled – visitors cannot leave comments.
- Allowed, pending moderation – visitors can comment, but you approve them before they appear.
- Allowed – comments appear immediately.
- Click Save.
If you selected Pending Moderation, you can manage comments by clicking Manage Comments in the top-right corner. Approve, unapprove, delete, or restore comments as needed. Deleted comments are stored in the Trash tab, where you can restore or permanently delete them.
